Our online courses and guided practice help students build consistency from home. Retreats offer the next step: a chance to gather in person, receive deeper guidance, and practise in a calm environment away from daily distractions.
These retreats are designed for adults who want more than a holiday. They are opportunities to slow down, reconnect with the body, and experience Taichi and Qigong with greater presence.
- Practise Taichi and Qigong in peaceful surroundings
- Receive guidance in person
- Meet fellow students from the Tacca Studio community
- Return home refreshed and more connected to your practice
A natural extension of online learning
Students can build their foundation through online practice, then deepen their learning through periodic retreats.
This model gives you both consistency and connection: regular practice at home, plus meaningful in-person experiences throughout the year.
What makes a Tacca Studio retreat different?
Our retreats are gentle, focused, and restorative — created for adults who want meaningful practice without pressure or performance.
Peaceful setting
Retreats are planned around calm environments where students can step away from routine and settle into practice more fully.
Gentle practice
The focus is on slow movement, natural alignment, breathing, grounding, and body awareness — not intense physical training.
Community
Practise with others who are also learning steadily, creating a supportive environment for encouragement and shared growth.
Who is this for?
Tacca Studio retreats are suitable for beginners, online students, and adults who want a calm, low-impact way to reconnect with body and mind.
You do not need to be athletic or experienced. A willingness to slow down, listen, and practise steadily is enough.
Designed for real adults, not perfect practitioners
Many people want to practise Taichi but feel unsure whether they are flexible, fit, or experienced enough. Our retreats are designed to be approachable.
The aim is not to perform beautifully for others. The aim is to feel the movement, understand the principles more clearly, and return to your daily life with more balance and steadiness.
- Suitable for beginners and returning learners
- Low-impact and gentle on the body
- Ideal for students who usually practise online
- Supportive environment without competition
Possible retreat experiences
Retreat details will depend on location, season, and group needs, but may include the following elements.
Weekend retreats
Short 2D1N or 3D2N retreats for students who want a focused but manageable practice experience.

Time for quiet rest, simple reflection, conversation, and spaciousness between practice sessions.
Focused learning
Retreat themes may include 24 Form, Qigong, standing practice, relaxation, body alignment, or deeper principles of Zhaobao Taichi.
Practise online first. Gather when the time is right.
The retreat experience is closely connected to the wider Tacca Studio learning path. Students can continue practising at home through the Members Area, then join future retreats when dates and locations are available.
This makes the retreat more meaningful because students arrive with some familiarity with the practice, the teaching style, and the community.
